You matter more than you know.
Today is two days before my due date. I’m in week 39 of my pregnancy, and cannot wait for baby MurHe to arrive!
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what kind of mom and parent I want to be, and how I could possibly share how much I already love my child and everything I want for him or her when he or she comes into this world.
On my walk this morning, I heard the following story about a rabbi and a struggling teenager that really brought things into perspective. (It starts at 41:27 if you want to listen here.)
God needs you.
If you were put here on this earth, then you have something to do that only you can do. No one else can do it, and we need you. And you have to figure out — why are you here? Because there is a reason.
There’s something only you can do in this world, or else you would not be here. Because God doesn’t make extras. Because if you’re here, then it’s to better this world, to make it more whole.
You have a job to do. And no one else will ever do your work if you don’t.
You matter because you have significant work to do in this world, and you are so needed. There’s something about you that is going to change the world. And you have to figure out how you can serve.
At the moment, I can think of no better words to describe why I created Joy & Clarity Life. Whether it be through coaching, sharing what I know through courses and online content, or building community, I recognize the need for us all to be surrounded by those who believe in us and are on the path to living their best lives — full of health, joy, presence, and clarity.
And dear child, I very much believe that you will be an original. You will no doubt have a beautiful journey toward uncovering your most meaningful work. No matter what happens, know that you matter. You are already so loved. And your daddy and I will always love you.
